Brow Care Oil for Healed PMU & Microblading
Yes, you can use an oil on healed permanent makeup. Brow Care Oil is a water free botanical serum for microbladed, nanobladed, and powder brows, made for the long maintenance window after your touch up has fully healed.
Won't oil fade my PMU?
This is the question every artist gets, and the answer comes down to timing. During healing, oil (including your own sebum) interferes with how pigment settles, which is why artists tell you to stay away from oils and heavy creams for the first several weeks. Once your touch up has healed and your artist has cleared you, that window is closed. Healed pigment sits in the dermis, well below where a topical oil travels. From that point forward the real threats to your brows are UV exposure, exfoliating acids, retinoids, and dry, flaking skin. Brow Care Oil is built for that second phase, not the first.
What makes it different
Most products in this category are a foil packet of petrolatum or a fragranced shea butter. This is neither.
- No prostaglandin analogues. Many lash and brow growth serums use them, and they are known to cause pigment discoloration around permanent makeup. This formula has none.
- A real antioxidant system. Rosemary extract and vitamin E, the part most botanical brow oils leave out entirely. Without it, a plant oil serum sitting on a bathroom counter turns over long before the bottle is empty.
- Jojoba and squalane base. Skin familiar, weightless, and stable, so it absorbs instead of sitting on top of the brow.
- No water, no fillers, no added fragrance. Anhydrous, small batch, amber glass.
Key ingredients
- Jojoba and squalane: a weightless, skin familiar base
- Immortelle (Helichrysum italicum): the everlasting flower, one of the most precious botanicals in skincare
- Bisabolol: to comfort the look of redness
- Calendula and carrot seed: traditional botanicals, infused in house
- Rosemary extract and vitamin E: antioxidant protection that keeps the oil fresh in the bottle
How to use
For healed brows only. Begin once your touch up has fully healed, usually around eight weeks after your initial appointment, and only when your artist has cleared you. This is not an immediate aftercare product and it does not replace the balm or ointment your artist gives you.
Apply one to two drops, patted gently over the brows, two to three times a week. A little goes a long way.
Common questions
When do I start using it?
After your touch up is fully healed and your artist has cleared you. Not before.
Does this replace my aftercare balm?
No. Your artist's aftercare product is for the healing phase. This is for everything after.
Is this an SPF?
No, and be careful of any brow product that claims to be. Carrot seed oil is not a sunscreen. UV is the single biggest driver of pigment fade, so wear a real broad spectrum SPF 30 or higher on your brows once you are past the first ten days.
Will it make my brow hairs grow?
No. This is a skin conditioning oil, not a growth serum, and it deliberately contains no prostaglandin analogues.
Can I use it on lip or eyeliner PMU?
It is formulated for brows. Follow your artist's guidance for other areas.
How long does a bottle last?
At two to three drops per week, the 15 mL runs roughly six to eight months. The 5 mL is a good way to try it first.
Size
5 mL and 15 mL amber glass dropper.
