Our roots run deep in the prairie.

My grandmother was a 3rd generation cattle rancher who wrote a small-town newspaper column called Lone Tree - a gathering place of community wisdom long before social media existed. My mother was a teacher and an Avon lady, turning our kitchen table into a world of color charts, perfume samples, and the belief that skincare was both ritual and confidence.

I became a chemist. And when I looked at what passed for "natural skincare" on the market, I knew there was room for something richer. Something that honored the nutrient density of tallow - an ancestral ingredient our skin instantly recognizes - and elevated it with prairie-based herbals and modern, clinically proven actives.

That's how The Lone Tree Tallow Company was born.

Prairie Sourcing: Our tallow comes from small-town butchers and family farms across South Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota, and Iowa. We honor the land and the whole animal. We render from cattle raised on my cousins’ fifth-generation farm, alongside a trusted network of local ranchers and organic growers who share the same commitment to stewardship and care.

Natural Pairings: We pair tallow with prairie botanicals like calendula, chamomile, and yarrow - natural complements in both tradition and chemistry. The fatty acids in tallow restore and strengthen the skin barrier, while the botanicals provide antioxidants and calming compounds that protect and renew.
