Short answer: Emberline is our copper peptide serum, built around 1% GHK-Cu — the copper peptide with the strongest track record for supporting firmness and collagen. We formulated it for skin over 40 that wants a real, evidence-backed active without the harshness of retinol, and we designed it to work hand-in-hand with our tallow balms rather than compete with them. It's available for preorder now and ships July 22.
I want to tell you why this serum exists, because it wasn't made to chase a trend. It was made because our customers kept telling me the same thing: I love what tallow does for my barrier, but I want something that also works deeper, on firmness. Emberline is my answer to that.
What is Emberline?
Emberline is a lightweight facial serum in our Lone Tree Performance Botanicals line, built around 1% Copper Tripeptide-1 (GHK-Cu). It's a 1 fl oz (30 mL) glass dropper bottle. Where our tallow products rebuild and protect the barrier, Emberline goes to work on the scaffolding underneath — the collagen and elastin that keep skin firm.
How does it work?
Copper peptides are signals. GHK-Cu is a small fragment your body makes naturally, and it prompts your skin's fibroblasts to build more collagen and elastin and to hold more of its own moisture-binding molecules. It supports and boosts your skin's own collagen production — it doesn't add collagen or “repair” old collagen, it tells your skin to make new. (I go deeper in What Are Copper Peptides?) The human research on GHK-Cu is genuinely encouraging: measurable firmness and fine-line improvements over about twelve weeks. Slow, steady, real.
Why we formulated it the way we did
Every ingredient in a Lone Tree formula has to earn its spot by what it does, not by how it markets. Around the copper peptide, we chose a small, deliberate supporting cast: niacinamide for barrier and tone, sodium hyaluronate for cushiony hydration, and calming botanicals and peptides to keep skin soothed while the collagen support does its slow work. No fillers, no ingredients riding along for the label. A copper peptide needs a hydrated, calm, well-supported canvas to work on — so that's what we built around it.
How Emberline works with your tallow products
This is the part I'm proudest of, because the two lines aren't rivals — they're a system. Here's the difference: Emberline is water-phase. It carries signals and humectants into the skin. Tallow is lipid-phase — it seals and rebuilds the barrier on the skin with the same fats your skin makes. Use a copper peptide serum without sealing it in and you lose much of the hydration to evaporation. Use tallow alone and you protect beautifully but don't signal for firmness. Together they close the loop.
The routine is simple: cleanse, apply a few drops of Emberline to clean skin, let it absorb, then seal with a tallow balm like Blue Hour or a facial oil. The serum signals; the tallow protects and feeds the barrier so that signal isn't wasted. Signal, feed, seal. It's the whole reason we built a botanicals line alongside the tallow line in the first place.
Who is Emberline for?
It's for skin that's noticing the collagen slowdown — typically perimenopause and beyond — and wants a firming active that won't peel, sting, or trigger the way retinol can. If you've tried retinol and your skin rebelled, a copper peptide is often the gentler road to similar goals. It's also lovely for anyone who simply wants their skin to look firmer and more resilient over time.
High-intent questions, answered
Is Emberline fragrance-free? No. It has a light, natural scent from its botanical ingredients (including tea tree), so we don't label it fragrance-free. There are no added synthetic fragrances. If you're highly fragrance-sensitive, patch test first.
Is it vegan? No — it contains royal jelly, which isn't plant-derived. It is not tested on animals.
Can I use it with retinol or vitamin C? Yes, just not in the same moment — give strong vitamin C or acids a different time of day, and neither will interfere with the copper peptide.
How do I use it, and how long until I see results? A few drops on clean skin, morning or night, sealed with a tallow balm or oil. Give it eight to twelve weeks of consistent use.
When does it ship? Emberline is available for preorder now and ships July 22. It's an online exclusive.
